Coleslaw

Coleslaw is one of those side dishes that vary by the region of the country you are in. Some parts of the US serve coleslaw with a vinegar base, while other parts serve it with a mayonnaise base.

Well down in ole West Texas, we like our coleslaw with mayo. And so does Chick-Fil-A. Or they did, before they stopped serving it. RIP CFA coleslaw.

But no need to fret if you have been missing it, my recipe is an almost exact replica to that yummy goodness that I wish Chick-Fil-A would bring back.

Ingredients

  • 1 pre-packed bag of coleslaw mix
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 4 teaspoons vinegar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients in a bowl, stir to coat cabbage completely, and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Serve with fried chicken, fried fish, on top of a Fried Chicken Sandwich, or a side with Sloppy Joes.
