Overnight oats are an awesome way to ensure that you have a breakfast prepared for you every day.
Often times, I do not feel like cooking breakfast or do not have time to cook. Overnight oats are a perfect solution to both of those problems.
Enjoyed on the go or for an after-workout treat, these mint chocolate brownie overnight oats will fulfill your sweet tooth or make your mornings a bit easier!
ingredients
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup milk of choice
- 1/2 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon chia seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/8 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- pinch of salt
instructions
- Add oats, cocoa powder, chia seeds, and salt in a jar with a lid. Pour in milk, then add vanilla and peppermint extracts, and maple syrup.
- Stir and shake to combine the ingredients, then refrigerate for at least 3 hours, but ideally overnight.
- When you are ready to eat, remove from the refrigerator. If needed, pour in more milk to thin. Enjoy cold.
- Overnight oats will keep in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
