These are traditional monster cookies with a twist!
There are a little bit of everything inside these babies and are absolutely festive with the addition of Christmas M&Ms.
You have got to try these! And of course you could make them anytime of year with regular M&Ms.
Ingredients
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, room temperature
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs + 1 egg yolk
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups old-fashioned oats
- 1-1/4 cup holiday M&Ms, divided
- 1 cup pretzels pieces, crushed
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350ºF. Line a couple baking sheets with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- In the bowl of an electric mixer, beat together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy, 2 minutes. Mix in the eggs, one at a time, along with the vanilla.
- When the wet ingredients are combined, add in the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Turn mixer on low and beat in the oats.
- Fold in 1 cup of the M&Ms, pretzel pieces, and chocolate chips. Scoop out dough by the 1/4 cup full and place 3-inches apart on prepared baking sheets.
- Transfer to the oven and bake for 10 minutes. Pull the pan out of the oven and push some of the remaining 1/4 cup M&Ms on to the top of the cookies. Bake an additional 2-3 minutes and remove to let cool on the baking sheet.
- Eat warm (highly recommend) or let cool and store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days.
